Annual carbon emissions reduction of about 5128.17 tons! Another high-speed photovoltaic project of Hebei Jiaotong Investment Group is put into operation!

Recently, the 4.2MW photovoltaic project of Beijing-Dezhou Expressway of Xiong'an Jiaotong Company, a subsidiary of Hebei Jiaotong Group, has successfully completed on grid solar system power generation, marking the official operation of the project.

After the project is put into operation, it is expected to generate 5.1436 million kWh of clean electricity per year. According to the coal consumption of thermal power generation, the standard coal consumption per kWh is 300 grams, which is equivalent to saving about 1,543.08 tons of standard coal per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 5,128.17 tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by about 154.31 tons, and nitrogen oxide emissions by about 77.15 tons. It is of great significance to promote regional energy conservation and emission reduction and help achieve the "dual carbon" goals.

In July 2024, the distributed photovoltaic power generation project of Beijing-Dezhou Expressway issued an EPC general contracting bidding announcement. It is learned from the bidding documents that the project is built in Suqiao Service Area, Longhuzhuang Parking Area, Daliu Town Parking Area, Beijing-Dezhou Expressway Maintenance Center, Huadu Toll Station, Bazhou East Toll Station, as well as service areas, parking areas, and highway slopes.

The project has a total of 15 grid-connected points, all of which are 0.4kV and connected to the low-voltage side of the plant box transformer nearby. The "self-generation and self-use, surplus power to the grid" method is adopted. The energy storage system is configured at 20%/2 hours and adjusted according to the access system plan.

During the project construction, Xiongan Jiaotong Company worked with the professional team of Jijiao Energy to overcome many technical difficulties and construction challenges. From the road safety assessment and design of the project to equipment procurement, construction and grid connection, all parties worked closely together to strictly control the quality and safety of the project and ensure the smooth progress of the project. At the same time, the project follows the concept of green environmental protection, pays attention to the protection of the surrounding ecological environment during the construction process, and achieves a win-win situation of economic and ecological benefits.

The smooth grid connection of the project has added new impetus to the green development of highways in Hebei Province, and also provided a successful example for the integrated development of highways and clean energy. Up to now, the highways under the jurisdiction of Xiongan Jiaotong Company have a total of 36.2 megawatts of grid-connected photovoltaic power, with remarkable results.
