2.6GW! China Power Construction's photovoltaic project is connected to the grid!

Apr 08, 2025

At the end of March and the beginning of April, photovoltaic projects undertaken by several subsidiaries of China Power Construction Corporation were successfully connected to the grid, with a total installed capacity of 2.6GW.

On April 1, the Foshan Lecong Steel World Stainless Steel Area A Photovoltaic Power Generation Project, which was invested and constructed by the Seventh Hydropower Bureau, was connected to the grid for power generation, marking the full capacity of Guangdong's largest rooftop distributed photovoltaic power generation project connected to the grid for power generation. The total construction capacity of the project is about 100MW, and the installed capacity of the Area A project is 21MW.

On March 28, the 600MW photovoltaic project II section of the Gansu Jinta Multi-energy Complementary Base Project of China Green Development, undertaken by Shandong Electric Power Construction No. 3 Company, was successfully connected to the grid at one time, and the installed capacity of Section II is 200MW.

On March 27, the 200MW wind-solar complementary agricultural photovoltaic power station project in Qingyang, Duyun City, Guizhou Province, undertaken by Beijing Institute, was fully connected to the grid for power generation.

In addition, on March 31, the first approved three-dimensional photovoltaic sea use project in my country, the Huaneng Shandong Binzhou New Energy 850MW photovoltaic project, in which Hubei Engineering Company participated, was connected to the grid for power generation at full capacity; on March 29, the largest photovoltaic storage power generation project in Tibet, the Huaneng Jiawa Phase I photovoltaic storage power station, undertaken by the Tenth Hydropower Bureau, was connected to the grid for power generation. The project is divided into three phases with a total installed capacity of 850MW, and the installed capacity of the first phase project is 250MW.

On April 1, the Foshan Lecong Steel World Stainless Steel Area A Photovoltaic Power Generation Project (hereinafter referred to as the Area A Project), which was invested and constructed by the Seventh Hydropower Bureau, was connected to the grid for power generation, marking the full capacity of Guangdong's largest rooftop distributed photovoltaic power generation project connected to the grid for power generation.

The Foshan Lecong Steel World Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation Project is located in Lecong Town, Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. The planned total construction area is about 950,000 square meters, the total construction capacity is about 100 megawatts, and the annual power generation exceeds 120 million kWh. The "green electricity" generated can achieve energy conservation and emission reduction equivalent to about 489,600 tons of standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 161,700 tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by about 36,900 tons, nitride emissions by about 24,100 tons, and dust emissions by about 6,400 tons, with significant economic, environmental and social benefits.

The Area A Project is managed by the Seventh Hydropower Bureau Investment Branch throughout the project life cycle, and Jiajiang Hydraulic Engineering participates in the construction in the form of EPC general contracting. The project covers a total roof area of 220,000 square meters and has an installed capacity of 21 megawatts. It fully leverages the advantages of the integrated industrial chain of "investment, construction and operation", empowers green industrial upgrading, and helps achieve carbon neutrality. After commissioning, the average annual power generation of the A-area project is about 22 million kWh, and the total power generation is expected to exceed 550 million kWh during the operation period. It will continuously supply "green electricity" to the local area, effectively promoting the optimization of regional energy structure and low-carbon transformation and development.

On March 28, the 600,000-kilowatt photovoltaic project II section of the China Green Development Gansu Jinta Multi-energy Complementary Base Project undertaken by Shandong Electric Power Construction No. 3 Company was successfully connected to the grid at one time.

The installed capacity of the II section undertaken by the company is 200MWp. During the project construction, the project execution team carefully organized and scientifically managed, and successfully completed the engineering construction tasks. The successful grid connection this time marks a phased victory in the project construction and lays a solid foundation for the full-capacity grid-connected power generation of subsequent projects.

The project is one of the second batch of large-scale wind power and photovoltaic base construction projects focusing on deserts, Gobi and desert areas in the country, and is also a demonstration project for the deep coupling and integrated application of solar thermal and photovoltaic. After the project is completed, the average annual power generation during the operation period will be 1279.17 million kWh, which is equivalent to saving 390,800 tons of standard coal each year. Correspondingly, it can reduce the emission of various air pollutants each year, effectively reducing air pollution, and has significant economic benefits and energy conservation and emission reduction benefits.

On March 27, the 200MW wind-solar complementary agricultural photovoltaic power station project in Qingyang, Duyun City, Guizhou Province (hereinafter referred to as the "Qingyang Project"), which was contracted by Beijing Institute, was fully connected to the grid for power generation, injecting strong impetus into the optimization of Guizhou Province's energy structure, energy conservation and emission reduction, and the rational use of mountain resources.

The Qingyang Project is located in Pinglang Town, Duyun City, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, covering an area of about 5,400 acres, with an altitude between 1,300 and 1,600 meters, and complex and changeable terrain. The total capacity of the DC side of the project is 299 MW, and the AC capacity is 200 MW.

After the power station is put into operation, it is expected to save about 92,100 tons of standard coal per year, significantly reduce the emission of various air pollutants, and significantly improve the regional air quality. At the same time, the project has also explored a new model combining green ecological agriculture with photovoltaic power generation by improving the comprehensive utilization rate of land, achieving a win-win situation of economic and ecological benefits, which is of positive significance to promoting the development of green energy in Guizhou.
