Africa's largest solar-energy-storage-diesel mine microgrid is connected to the grid for the first time!

On December 29, Sany Silicon Energy completed the first grid connection of the Zambia Ridda Mine Photovoltaic Energy Storage Microgrid Power Generation Project, a milestone in the field of overseas "photovoltaic + energy storage + diesel generation" microgrid power generation, announcing the first and largest single-unit photovoltaic storage diesel mine microgrid project in Africa to be put into operation.
This symbolizes that Sany Silicon Energy has achieved remarkable results in promoting Africa's green energy transformation and sustainable development, and has also officially taken an important step in the field of China-Africa new energy cooperation.
As the largest mine microgrid project in Africa, the project is equipped with a 13MWp solar energy system and a 39MWh energy storage battery system, and a diesel generation system as a backup power supply, to build an advanced microgrid integrated energy system integrating photovoltaics, energy storage and diesel generation. It aims to ensure stable and reliable power supply in the mining area, achieve energy self-sufficiency, effectively reduce dependence on traditional energy, and improve energy utilization efficiency and sustainability.
In this project, Sany Silicon Energy Green Energy Company has always been based on the "Sany speed" throughout, responsible for the overall development, design, construction and delivery of the project. It took only 4 months from the signing of the PPA (power purchase agreement) to the completion and power supply of the project. Faced with Zambia's complex geographical environment and climatic conditions, and the transportation of materials caused by the delay in infrastructure construction, under the personal coordination of Mr. Dai Qinghua, Chairman of Silicon Energy, the Sany Silicon Energy project team quickly developed a detailed and flexible construction plan, raced against time to carry out key construction links, and minimized the construction period while strictly ensuring the quality of the project. This series of rapid and orderly actions fully demonstrated Sany Silicon Energy's outstanding ability in project management and execution.
The grid connection of this project also officially opened a new chapter for Sany Silicon Energy in the practice of green mine energy in Africa, and laid a solid foundation for the future development of green energy in Africa.
